Pearl O Te Rangi Rorani

Early this morning at 4:46 a.m. Pearl was born, 8 pounds and 4 ounces. She appears to be a little Leilani this time with curly hair! We're so thankful to our Heavenly Father for sending our new bundle of joy to our family.

Latest photos are here:

Mother and baby are both well and are having a few days out of the spot light to recover. Both Leilani and I are very happy and want to thank all those well wishers for their love and support.

Merry Christmas.

Still No Baby

Well baby is due on Monday so still no signs of him or her coming yet. We're all waiting in anticipation though. Joseph has started to take care of all his teddy bears and stuffed animals like little babies so it seems as though he's getting ready as well.

Not Long To Go

Well Leilani's tummy is pretty big and round now. It looks like there isn't a lot of room left at this stage. We're all set with our bags packed, bassenette assembled, baby clothes and towels bought and nappies stacked. Because Joseph was a bit late, our mid-wife tells us that baby 2 could be a little early, so we're prepared just incase we get caught out. Daddy feels lots of kicking in his back at night and the baby must be doing his or her speed ball work in there as we see lots of wiggling around. The big day is the 19th so we'll wait in anticipation.

Our family watches conference every six months to learn how we can improve our selves, our family and our community.

My First Night Away

Joseph returned from his first night away from home this morning. He had a wonderful time and didn't mind waking up in a different bed one bit. Just shows how fast they can grow up.

Mummy and Daddy in the meantime went our for dinner and danced the night away at the ball. Although we had a great time together, and it was good not to have to drive to Cambridge to pick Joseph up afterwards, we'd never want to go back to being childless for anything.

3 Months to go

Well baby is growing well and in a few months will be here.

We are all looking forward to his or her arrival to add to our family. Lani is coping well with it all and has her little helper to get her through the day. We think Joseph will be a great big brother and can't wait until the big day arrives.

Blair's Birthday

I was awoken with my son sneezing two big sneezes on the bed next to me. He then gave me my Thomas the Thank Engine card that he picked out especially.

Then I had to jump out of bed and the treasure hunt was on to find all the presents hidden around our house for me.

I ended up with a new watch, a book called "E-Myth Mastery" by Micheal E. Gerber, a cherry ripe bar my wife brought back from Australia on Monday and a free lunch at Valentines restaurant. Not a bad haul.

We had a wonderful lunch together and enjoyed every moment of it.

While the years fly by without us noticing some times, it is always good to pause and celebrate another year lived with a birthday.

Any belated birthday wishes (or gifts) can be posted as comments on this post. Just click the "comments" link below.
